GREEN BAY – Camden Wall has quietly become one of the leading scorers in the Fox River Classic Conference this season.

Wall enters his fourth season on Green Bay Preble’s boys basketball varsity roster and has steadily improved every year.

Wall is second in the Fox River Classic Conference with a scoring average of 19 points per game. As a junior, Wall averaged 14.3 points per game and was named honorable mention all-FRCC.

As the team’s starting point guard, Wall leads the team on the court with his ability to score and distribute the ball to his teammates.

Despite a record of 3-8, the Hornets continue to show signs of growth. Preble lost by one point to Pulaski early in the year and defeated De Pere 59-55 for a big conference win.

Wall answered questions from USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin.

How’s the season been going so far as a senior?

Pretty good, we have been playing well. Haven’t won as many games as we hoped, but we’ve been in a lot of games.

Is that a sign of growth in your eyes?

Yeah, I hope at the end of the season we can make a big run. I think we’ve been playing well and shown some good flashes.

Any standout moments so far from the season?

Our nonconference win over Dodgeland. Me and Josh Nicklaus each scored over 30 points so it was pretty cool to get the win and both have two high-scoring games.

What were some of your goals heading into the season?

We only had two conference wins last season and I am hoping we can get more this year. Up my average in points and assists to get my teammates the ball. As long as we're winning games, I don’t really care how much I score.

As the team’s starting point guard, what’s it like being the leader on and off the court?

It's pretty cool. There’s always been a player ahead of me, and this year it’s pretty cool being the go-to guy and being a leader for the team.

Entering your fourth varsity season, what’s it been like to go from your freshman season to now?

I think it’s helped me a lot, you know what to expect. Freshman year I was pretty nervous all the time, but then my sophomore year on, I’ve been prepared because I know more of what it’s like with the speed and all that.

How’s it been to have your dad as your varsity coach all four years?

It makes me work a lot harder because I know people will be more critical of on me if I’m doing bad or even if I’m doing good. Puts a chip on my shoulder and makes me work harder.

Talk a lot about the games when you get home?

Yeah, a little bit. It’s kind of nice having someone, he’s obviously my coach so he’ll tell me what I need to be doing at all times, even if it’s not here but at home we can have extra discussions.

What do you hope to accomplish the rest of the season?

I hope we grow as a team and make a little run into the playoffs.

What do your friends/teammates call you?

Cam. It’s easier to say than Camden.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I love shoes. I have almost 30 pairs of shoes.

What is your most memorable sports achievement?

Eighth-grade state tournament we took sixth place, which was our highest finish.

What is your most embarrassing sports memory?

Airballing a shot my freshman year.

What is your sports superstition or ritual?

I always eat Jimmy John’s because I had a really good game last year when I ate it.

Which teammate will you miss the most and why?

Quinn Watermolen. We’ve played together since kindergarten. We have been best friends pretty much all our life. I’ll miss having him as a teammate.

Who is your celebrity crush?

Kylie Jenner.

What is your dream vacation?

Fiji.

What is your dream career?

Marketing.
