Mason Crosby is out to prove his aim with a bow and arrow is as good as with his foot.

The Green Bay Packers kicker is among 32 NFL players who signed up to compete on TV’s “MVP: Most Valuable Performer.” The one-hour CBS special, airing live at 7 p.m. Jan. 25 from Hollywood, is in search of the player with the best off-the-field talent.

Crosby’s audition video touts his talents with a bow and arrow and shows the avid bow hunter taking aim at a turkey target in his backyard.

A sampling of his competitors includes Jordan Devey of the Kansas City Chiefs playing “Frosty the Snowman” on tuba, Waukesha native Kevin Zeitler of the Cleveland Browns coaching his dog, Amber, to do tricks for treats, Joe Thuney of New England Patriots solving a Rubik’s Cube in less than 2 minutes and Alex Collins of the Baltimore Ravens doing Irish step dancing.

The finalists for the special, hosted by LL Cool J, were to be determined by online fan voting in December and those whose teams were eliminated from the postseason when the show airs. No word if Crosby's archery skills made the cut, but he does appear briefly in the trailer.

Finalists were paired with mentors in their area of expertise. During the show, a project of CBS, Sports Illustrated and the NFL Players Association, celebrity judges will critique each player's performance before viewers vote online at cbs.com to determine the Most Valuable Performer, to be revealed at show's end.
