GREEN BAY - The Astor Neighborhood Association has been named Green Bay's Neighborhood of the Year by the city's Neighborhood Leadership Council.

The neighborhood garnered the top spot for its support of city band concerts, outdoor movies, back-to-school dinners and sponsorship of a historic home tour, according to William Peters, neighborhood support specialist for the city of Green Bay.

The association also helped develop a city historic preservation ordinance.
