If you've been meaning to brush up on your Green Bay Packers history, here's your chance to do it with a four-course meal and no final exam.

A first-time event Nov. 8 at Hagemeister Park, 325 N. Washington St., Green Bay, will celebrate the team's storied past that dates to 1919 when the Packers were formed. Guests will also celebrate the city's football roots going back to the sandlot team organized by Fred Hulbert in 1895 and the "town team" football that eventually led to the Packers.

The program will honor retired Packers historian Lee Remmel, pay tribute to 1950s Packers scout Jack Vainisi and include a discussion of the Walk of Legends monuments. A period scene from a play about Packers Hall of Famer Johnny "Blood" McNally will be performed, and Michael Neelsen's film on Brett Favre's retirement from the Packers, "Last Day at Lambeau," will be shown.

Other presenters include local arts proponents Corrie Campbell and Lynn Adrian and Green Bay native and author Jim Lefebvre. Football historian Denis Gullickson will host.

There will be a 1 p.m. matinee and a 5 p.m. performance. Tickets are $27 and include a four-course meal. Call Hagemeister at (920) 884-9909.
